I know we all have different parenting styles and everyone is entitled to their own.
But.
DH has a cousin who just had a baby in late April - so she's about a month old give or take a few days. I met her (the baby) for the first time today and was talking to her mom (DH's cousin's wife) and asked her how she was sleeping/eating.
She said she's sleeping 6 hours (which is awesome for them) and they are doing scheduled feeds at every 4 hours.
I was a little taken aback - their LO is a month old! 4 hours seems like a huge amount of time. I mean, during the day, Hunter goes 3 hours tops! And that's the rule they follow in daycare until they are one year old too.
I don't want to insult their parenting style and their baby seems healthy and happy but I couldn't say anything to them so I'm venting to you guys! Thanks for letting me
Re: I need to vent.
I agree, 4 hours seems like a lot. Evan usually eats every 2 hours! He can do 3 hours, but not 4.
Lets just hope they're not missing her cues or making her wait to keep the schedule...
