What is a good outdoor insect spray to spray around house exterior?

I am having insect problems now that it is spring. Specifically ants coming in both doors and spiders. What is a good spray I can buy at HD to spray the exterior foundation of my house?

EcoSMART is an AWESOME company with some amazing products.  Two years ago we had a horrible ant problem.  We're talking hundreds of them in the house.  We had to keep everything in the fridge (bread, crackers, pet food, etc.) or else the ants would just attack it.  I had rats at the time and they invaded the poor little guys.  It was terrible.  So the next year we sprayed RAID (horrible, I know) and it worked- hardly any ants made their way into the house.  This year I decided to try EcoSMART and so far so good!  There's also a spray you can use in the garden to keep them away that's safe of the plants that we used because we had an ant hill forming in our veggie garden.

This sucks.  It doesn't look like I can find the home pest control anywhere.  They have the lawn and garden products near me, but not the home pest.  Buying it online would cost me about $20 with tax and shipping.  We still have some of the non-eco friendly pest control, so hopefully next year it'll be avaliabe at more places.

We are using Terro products. They are widely available and contain borax mixed with sweeteners.

 I looked on line and they seem to only have ant killer products.  Is this still effective on all insects?
