My husband and I will be moving at the end of the year. As a result, we will be breaking our lease and our place will be available. We hate to leave it because it is such a steal but hopefully someone here will be interested: This unit is very rare to find especially at the monthly rent it is going for:
RENT = $1145 per month and includes water and heat
- 2 bedroom/1 bath
- formal living room with sunnt front nook
- formal dining room with crystal chandelier
- large open kitchen w/walk in pantry and built in hutch with lots of shelving and drawers
- enclosed back porch with large window
- custom built floor to ceiling storage walls in enclosed back porch
- 1700 square feet
- exposed brick throughout
- hardwood floors throughout
- working gas fireplace
- 5 mins door to door walk from apt to Loyola red line train
- gas stove
- electric monthly is about $35
- gas bimonthly is about $50 (but I do a lot of cooking/baking)
- community courtyard & patio with gas grill (shared with the 5 other units in the building - all couples)
- unit is on second floor
- parking is ALWAYS available. I entertain weekly and my guests have never had problems parking (even fellow Chicago nesties will vouch for it!)
Will offer 2 air conditioner units - which we never installed because it was so cool with the lake breezes. We've managed 2 Chicago summers without air conditioning, just by using the ceiling fans in each of the bedrooms.
Will offer microwave and portable dishwasher for those interested
You can view pictures of our home throughout my blog where I have hosted countless events. If you are interested, please email me at itsjoelen@gmail.com and we'd be happy to show you our place.
Re: 2 bed/1 bath condo rental avail 12/2008
May I add my two cents and say that it's super cute?
Joelen, I'm happy for the two of you but sad to see you leave, too. You better stay active on this board, woman!
Here are pics for those that would like visuals....
Noooooooooooooo!!!! Don't leave me!!! ::sniff sniff::
I have to add that Joelen's place is super cute and has a lot of character. The "nook" in the living room is cute, and there's a brick wall that runs the length of the condo that adds a lot of character to the place.
