New Gardener - Fertilizer Question
Hello - my husband and I just set up a vegtable garden in our yard this year. We planted a bunch of seedlings (tomatoes, herbs, peppers, lettuce, eggplant, and few other things) into the garden on Friday and most seem to be doing well. I'm just wondering if we need to put down fertilizer at all and if so how much and how often? I was in Home Depot the other day looking at "plant food" but that seemed different than actual fertilizer. Plus none of them seemed to be all natural and I don't want to put any chemicals in the garden. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Re: New Gardener - Fertilizer Question
ditto. And, I just apply compost once for the summer growing season.
Same here. I've never used fertilizer in my veggie garden and have never had a problem.
