Moving & need help!!!???

Hi I am new here. My husband, I and our baby girl are moving out of Fl this summer.  We want to move somewhere near or around Myrtle Beach area down to Charleston.  We are looking to buy a house around $150,000 but NEED :) near by like 5-10 miles big box stores (target, walmart, grocery).  So please any help would be great. I am starting to really like Charleston.... HELP PLEASE! :) Thanks cant wait to hear your ideas!

Re: Moving & need help!!!???

  • I am originally from Conway, which is about 15 miles outside of Myrtle Beach. It's a really nice town if you like the "small town feel" and just a short drive to the beach and all Myrtle Beach has to offer, without being in the middle of it all. Murrells Inlet is also a nice area on the other side of Myrtle Beach. They have some really great restaurants and bars, as well as good schools. My husband is from the Charleston area. Summerville is a great area with lots to do and it's constantly growing. I know you can get some pretty great deals on homes in that area as well! Hope this helps you!
  • I am from Charleston/Summerville its a wonderful beautiful area.  Its a little pricey though we currently live right outside of Columbia due to my husbands job and we paid a little under 180,000 for our house and its giant but the same house in charleston would be almost 300,000 dollars.  As much as I love Charleston and miss it greatly.  I am a fan of big houses so its not exactly in our budget to live there right now.  But with the market how it is there are certainly deals to have there.  Let me know if you decide to try that area I would be more than willing to tell you some good neighborhoods to try that are nice and budget friendly. Good Luck!!!!!
