Help!

Hey Ladies,

I am doing the 60 mile 3 day breast cancer walk down in Atlanta and am looking for some good fund raising ideas.  Each team member has to raise $2300 to be able to walk.  Thankfully, we've got until October to do it.  I figured I'd turn to you all for some great ideas!

Thanks!

Re: Help!

  • Bake sales in the new student union would be good! We have raised about $700 during a one day sale in my building.  I know its old school, but who doesn't love brownies??
  • Sadly, we can't use campus because most of us work here.  Thus its seen as a power issue (at least to target the students).
  • Could a group of you do a bake sale and then split the profits?  Then, those that wanted to join could.  Those that didn't join couldn't use the argument that you targeted the students.  If there were too many of you, then maybe one group could do it one day and another group a week or so later.

I'll keep thinking of a different idea.

  • I know lots of these kinds of events will use yard sales to raise money.  That could be done on your property, so hopefully you won't have the power issue.  Good luck!
  • I would probably start with asking friends and family.
