Another boy. I am loving every minute of it! I am finding it easier going from 1-2 than it was from 0-1. I don't think I can ever go back to work now!
How have you been?
That's awesome! How is your older one adjusting to being a big brother? I bet they'll be best friends, being so close in age. (Not that they're that close, I guess, but my brother and I are 6 years apart so they're pretty close as far as I'm concerned!) I totally get not feeling like you can go back to work. I really want to stay home after my maternity leave is up, but that probably won't be feasible and I'm coming to terms with that now. I mean, it's not that we couldn't afford to live on DH's salary alone, but we have other goals (pay off debt, move into a bigger house, etc.) and we'll get there faster if I'm working.
I've been okay. Motherhood has definitely been an adjustment for me...a difficult one at times. It doesn't help that DH works pretty much 24/7 leaving me to look after the house and the baby all by myself. I try not to let it effect me too much, but it's difficult sometimes.
I have to thank you for all the help you gave me when I was trying to decide on what CDs to use. We've been using prefolds successfully for the past 8 months. Although we're in disposables now because Pierce had a diaper rash that just would. not. go. away! but it's slowly getting better. I figure we'll use up the rest of the pack and then go back to prefolds. The prefolds have been great! I always laugh when people look at me that way when they find out I'm doing CDs and go "Oohh, you're doing cloth??" like I have two heads. It really isn't that much extra work. I mean, I'm already doing laundry 24/7 anyways, so what's one more load.
