what sunscreen are you using for your kiddos?

I have been reading up on sunscreens and want to start using a non chemical. Right now I am looking at the Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Formula, the Solbar brand and Blue Lizard.

Am I missing any brands?

Re: what sunscreen are you using for your kiddos?

  • We like CA Baby.

  • We use, and really like, the Neutrogena Sensitive Skin one. I tried the CA Baby but I didn't feel like it rubbed in well (it balled up on me). But I know plenty of my friends use and love it.

I've also heard a lot of people rave about Blue Lizard, but I can never seem to find it anywhere!

  • I just got a bottle of CA baby and one of Coppertone Water Babies Pure and Simple (pink bottle). Both rated with a 3 on EWG's sunscreen guide. I couldn't find any of the lower rated sunscreen/sunblock without ordering online.

  • I used CA Baby all last summer, and my kid didn't get even an inkling of a tan. We were outside every day, too.

I'm using it again on her this summer, and she's still pale as can be.

It takes a little bit of effort to rub it in, but it does rub in well. It's very thick, but I like that. I buy it at Target.

  • We use Badger :)
