Has anyone planted Arbor Vitae?
I want to plant several Arbor vitae plants in my front yard to act like a fence. I've done some googling, and looks like I want to buy at least 4' tall, from a reputable nursery, and plant them 2 1/2 feet apart. This is perfect because there's a nursery near my house that sells 6' tall plants for $15 each! Also I read that we need to water the heck out of them 25/7, which I'm ok with.
Just wondering if anyone has planted these, success or failure stories? Or any tips?

Emerald green, from a local nursery...
Deer proof them - they will eat them

You'll need to plant them further apart:

They get big.
