Ideas

So my bff is leaving in 2 months to go to DC for Seminary. She's taking some vacation at the end of July and I asked her to keep the 26th free as I'll be off that day (as it's right after my Conference) and I want to do something with her as a proper goodbye sort of thing.

Any ideas as to what we might do? I'm thinking about taking her to a local winery as they make one of her fave wines and do free tasting, but I'm not sure if that would be weird as she'd be the only one able to drink.

I want to something fun and special with her but I'm kinda clueless!

Re: Ideas

  • Has she lived in that area for awhile?  Maybe ask her if there's something "touristy" she's never done before, like a museum or something.  Seems like most people never get around to doing those kinds of things when you actually live close to it!

  • I like Carrie's idea. I totally agree as I lived close to Chattanooga and the river for 8 years and I never went whitewater rafting on the Ocoee (20 minutes away) or to the Chattanooga aquarium (30 minutes away) the whole time I lived there.

I actually haven't done all the tourist stuff here yet except for a few things.

You tend to take things for granted in your city until you move away.

You could have a spa night and get your toes and fingers done.

I like Heather's idea of a spa day :)  Then, go to lunch!

You could go to a concert together.

See a movie, go to dinner.
