Has anyone seen the call that blew the perfect game for the Detroit pitcher?? I feel horrible for that poor guy. So wrong!

Re: Perfect Game Blown!!
I missed the actual game but when I got home thought I'd turn it on to see if we could catch the ending...but saw that...over and over and over...for the next 90 minutes before going to bed. And this morning while getting ready for work. And sitting here listening to my favorite Detroit radio station right now. Even worse, the ump who made the call is a local.

I think Galaraga is showing his true colors and being very classy about the whole thing. I'm sure he's pissed and has probably yelled in the privacy of his home (rightfully so), but as far as on camera he's being very professional about it.
And it sounds like the ump is doing the same.
I agree. I'm so glad that he basically accepted the call and just continued the game. I'm sick of seeing players and coaches argue and throw childish tantrums with officials. They are the authority, they made the call, and they blew it (too often there's a tantrum when they didn't even blow the call). Having a fit with the authority figure isn't going to change anything.
