s/o Getting too big

Can someone please describe teething to me?  And tell me if it's possible my kid is doing it?

She's not cranky all the time but last night she screamed at us for 2 hours and was gnawing on her Wubbanub & drooling like a rabies infested dog.

Re: s/o Getting too big

  • It could be teething. Have you tried having her suck/chew on a cold wash cloth or a teething ring? A slight fever sometimes comes with teething, too. Orajel (sp?) can be your best friend!

    Good luck!!

    ditto this.

and yes, this sounds like the beginning of the teething. and it can come and go periodically or last for the next 4 or 5 months. Orajel works good for some babies (I never noticed a change in whit), ice cold washcloths, the raspberry teether, and cold teething rings all work for us, but her favorite teething toy is my knuckle or boob. I hope for your sake thats not Norah's case.

PS. I just saw that I wrote sake and thought of Sake Cafe and sushi and realized I want.some.NOW.

  • Mmm, sushi.

Thanks, gals.  I'll grab some orajel next time I'm at Target.  I'm still not sure if that's what it is b/c her "symptoms" are very inconsistent.  I guess I'll inquire with the pedi next month.
