Looking to move to VA...neighborhood recommendations?
Hi everyone! My husband and I are looking to move to the VA area and we know nothing about the areas, neighborhoods, etc and I was hoping you could help! We would love to find a neighborhood that is within walking distance of restaurants, outdoor shopping area, etc as that is what we have now and we absolutely love it. We're looking for either a new house, lot that we can build on, or even an older neighborhood with mostly renovated houses that is not too far (30 min or less?) from Tyson's corner area as that is where my husband will be working. Any suggestions you can give would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!
Re: Looking to move to VA...neighborhood recommendations?
I second the DC board suggestion.
Tysons is very pricey. There's not much new development in that area, most of the new development is out west toward Leesburg with the old farm lands. As for renovated older homes, that will be hit and miss. Falls Church City is near tysons and has older homes that are updated, but you are looking at $500k for a small 3bd to $1M for anything decent.
