Happy Friday Randoms!!!

I am so bored at this garage sale, but I know if I don't sit here and try to sell stuff, I will be tempted to go shopping.  Also, there were some real creepo's who came to my sale yesterday, thankfully my mom came down to help, so I wasn't alone.

Re: Happy Friday Randoms!!!

  • Garage sales are so interesting. My BIL sold his old xBox and some games at mine last year. This guy wanted to pay with a check. Really? $75 check from some random guy? No.

  • I have to vent. I have this friend that wants to do stuff with us all the time. Her son is a few weeks older than Mere. I don't mind that so much b/c it's fun during the week to have someone to do things with. But some of the stuff she wants to do is stuff that would be so much more enjoyable for me without taking Mere along and just have some friend time... i.e. Garage sale-ing. It is such a pain to get the babe in and out of the car seat 15 times to stop for 2 minutes each time. I invited her to go some Saturday and we could leave the babies with their dad's. She said, "Well if it's a Saturday, then my H would be with me. We are the three musketeers when he's not working." Her H is home all the time! Then she makes me feel like a bad mom for not wanting to take Mere. Argh.

Yeah, cash only dude. It would cost you probably $25 when the check bounced, and then you'd be out money and an xbox.

You're not a bad Mom for wanting some alone time or just girlfriends time. Don't feel that it's not ok to take some time for yourself.

  • One of my customer's just said "Thank you babe."  Ummm wha?

Yeah cause casual Friday no longer just applies to dress code?  Professionalism is out the window too?

Leave Mere at home when you guys get together.  Maybe she'll get the hint to follow suit next time.  hehe.  Or maybe you could just straight up ask if the next time you get together that it's adult only?

What's everyone up to this weekend?

  • Going to my cousin's open house on Sunday.  She is the last of the cousins to graduate high school.  We are getting old.

Maybe going to some home improvement stores to start pricing out things we want/need to do to the new house, and also start picking out paint colors for all of the rooms.  We want to paint before we start moving in, but the entire house needs to be painted, so it's going to be a huge job.  Eek.

  • Happy Friday all! Any fun plans?

Tonight I'm going to see SATC2 w/ some girlfriends, and then we're going to go visit another friend who just had a baby... can't wait to meet him! Then, Saturday and Sunday the H and I will be helping two different friends move. I'm pretty sure I'll be very sore on Monday morning...

  • My friend posted this on FB this morning, and I thought I'd share... it really puts how big the oil spill is into perspective. So heartbreaking. :(

Dude, it feels like it shoud be at least 4:30.  This afternoon is dragging.  I can't wait to get out of work so I can do some relaxing!

What the hull?  I just looked at the clock because of your post, and it's only 3:39.

    I despise Friday afternoons.
