Dessert for casual baby shower brunch

I am hosting a casual potluck baby shower brunch for a friend tomorrow. There will only be seven people there, and the menu is set except for dessert. There will be some sweet things in the meal (French toast and coffee cake), but I wanted to have a separate dessert course too.

I ordered 16 petit fours, and I was thinking about making fresh strawberry sorbet to go with them. Does that sound good? One of the girls coming is gluten-free and won't be able to eat the petit fours, so I wanted to have something delicious that she can eat too.

ETA: It's a baby girl...hence the pink. (And strawberries are so delicious right now!)

Also thinking about strawberry or raspberry gelato instead of sorbet. WDYT?
