One more re: BBQ Grills & Lawnmowers
Are there any considerations for buying these?
We have a natural gas hookup on the house so I am leaning towards a Weber Genesis that can be plugged in directly.
For the lawnmower we have looked at Toro self-propelled and looking at Craftsman models at Sears tomorrow. Is electric vs gas a big issue?
Re: One more re: BBQ Grills & Lawnmowers
Electric is better from an emissions standpoint. It also takes less maintenance - no gas to go bad over winter, no oil to change, no sparkplugs. We ended up getting a cordless electric (battery powered). DH loves it.
For the barbeque, natural gas is more expensive than propane, but you don't have to deal with filling the tank. DH wants to get one now that we have a hook up, but for now, we're sticking with the little propane one. One consideration is to not get a MONSTER if you're never really cooking for a huge crowd - a huuuuge one burns a lot more fuel than one that's just big enough for your needs.
We purchased a Black & Decker electric mower at Lowe's and it mows our entire yard easily on one charge. No gas, no oil, no fuss. Absolutely love it and would recommend it.

We have the Weber Genesis and love it. For just small things, I only turn on one or two burners so I don't overuse. It's a great grill and I would totally recommend it.
