Moving to Myrtle Beach

Hi All, my husband and I are making a big move from Dallas to Myrtle. My parent's now live there and we've always wanted to be near the beach.

We are looking at rentals and I would love any suggestions for good safe areas to live. We're used to the big city life and have a different idea of safe so I'm sure we'll be fine.

We're young professionals, newlyweds and fun people. Areas that we would fit into would be a great help!

Thanks.

Re: Moving to Myrtle Beach

  • I'm sorry I'm not really any help but I didn't want your question to go totally unanswered.  I have a friend whose family moved to Kingston Plantation from WV when we were kids and they loved it there.

  • We just moved to Murrells Inlet which is 15min south of Myrtle and We Love it here. It is quite but yet it is close to Myrtle and Georgetown. You might want to look into Surfside it is a really nice community with some younger families. Good Luck and if you have anymore questions I might be able to help

  • I grew up in Conway, just outside of Myrtle Beach. It's a very nice town, if you enjoy the small town feel. I also agree with the above post about Murrells Inlet and Surfside-- if I were to move back to that area, that's probably where I'd want to live.
