What can I do with cheese tortellini and no red sauce?
I'm making them for Elizabeth. What about garlic, butter or olive oil, parmesean cheese?? I dunno. Any ideas?
I have no sauce and no tomatoes to try to make some..
Re: What can I do with cheese tortellini and no red sauce?
Do you have creamed spinach in the freezer? I make cheese tortellini w/ a creamed spinach sauce.
1 box creamed spinach, heated up and removed from the package and added to a bowl. To the creamed spinach I add garlic powder, nutmeg and some milk to loosen it into a sauce. Then I mix in the tortellini.
BTW, Caleb looks so handsome in that picture! What a big boy he has become!!

i NEVER make it with red sauce- always pesto or alfredo. both are simple to make if you have the ingredients...
pesto- fresh basil, pine nuts, garlic and olive oil, blend in a chop-chop/processer, add parmesean cheese and blend
alfredo- parm cheese, butter and cream or milk in equal parts, stir and heat on low until blended and melted.
for just my kid, i'd probably just drizzle it with evoo and parm
aw thank you!! I know.. no more baby...
haha this was our quick dinner favorite for the longest time!
Me - little bit of olive oil & a sprinkle of cajun seasoning
Him - butter & parmesan
