The Celtics were definitely looking better last night than in game 1. Rondo and Ray-Ray were on fire. We still need more production from Peirce and Garnett. But that is what I love about this team, different guys carry the game each night. The Lakers looked intense in Game 1, but were definitely hampered last night.
I am not liking the reffing, which continues to plague this league (I hope David Stern's minions don't monitor the Nest!). Many of the key players got into early foul trouble and that really hampered the play, required substitutions. This is playoff b-ball, for all the marbles -- Let them Play!
Re: NBA Finals - All tied up
The refs have sucked this whole playoff season. I can't wait for tomorrow nights game.
The refs have made some pretty rediculous call thus far. When I was watching last nite, it seemed as though they would make one bad call and then make up for it on the other side of the court. Bull.
Anywho.... don't forget Big Baby Davis from last nite! Love it when I see him hustle and any points from him are a big bonus. Also, I'm fairly certain that Rondo is a spider monkey. How does he get those rebounds??? Rondo power.
Ahh, I love me some C's!
I only got to listen to the game on the radio since I was driving during game time...but what a game! I'm glad this is actually going to be a series and that the Celts came to play. And what about Ray Allen and his record-setting 3-point performance? Or Doc rushing down the court to call that time out because they weren't going to get the ball across in 8?
The whole game was up and down, and a great game overall. The refs though...boo.
There is an article on Fox Sports complaining about the ref's heavy involvement in the game. It will be interesting to see if there are fewer calls tonight. The frequent calls really hampers the C's playing style - Rondo works best when they are coming off transition and all this stoppage of play is killing the rhythm. I also didn't like seeing Kobe get 4 fouls so quickly. I hate the guy but want to beat him at full strenghth, not with one hand tied behind his back.
LOL re: Doc running on the court. The commentators were joking about his speed from his college days.
