New to WI.... questions...

Greetings everyone!  We are new to Wisconsin- we just moved from Kansas City!  We are excited to be here and love all of WI has to offer.

I need some help - I am in the need of an OBGYN and need a good rec.   I am looking for someone with offices in Lake Country

or

near Brookfield Square Mall - that is near my husbands office - my old OB's office was right across the street from his work in KC so he was able to come to all the appts when I was pregnant with my daughter. 

I am also wondering what the different hospitals are like and would welcome any advice.  We are hoping to have another kiddo soon~!

sorry i'm no help with the miwlaukee-area recommendations (I'm in the Fox Cities) but wanted to welcome you to the board! how do you like it so far??

I'm also no help with the recommendations, but just wanted to say welcome. This board is really slow but I hope you get some good tips. My OB-GYN is in Menomonee Falls.

I really like Dr. Dobbs at the West Allis Women's pavillion.  It's connected to the West Allis Hospital.  I think it's about a 15 minute drive from Brookfield Square.

I go to lifetime OB/GYN which is located at the corner of North and Calhoun about 5 minutes from Brookfield Square. I use Dr. Herzog - who I like (he is male) there are 3 other doctors there - I have never had to use any of the others

 He only has hours in Brookfield on Mondays and Fridays though, he is at St. Joes the rest of the days.

 We delivered at St. Joes in Milwaukee, he prefers to go there - we had a really good experience there with DS, but I think he will also do Elmbrook in Brookfield

Welcome to WI! I see Dr. Barr at the Aurora Woman's Pavilion in West Allis. She's really nice and I really like her a lot! 

Like a previous post said, it's only about 15 minutes or less from Brookfield Square.

Do you live in Lake Country? If so, West Allis will be more than 15 minutes away for you.

I love my OB..........but she's at the Women's Pavilion with West Allis Memorial Hospital. Her name is Barbara Lamping. She has two other doctors in her practice, and they are great, too!  I am pretty partial to the Women's Pavilion as far as hospitals go........I was there for a week when my son was born, and loved it........just a great place:) Welcome to Wisconsin!

Welcome to WI!  My OB is Amy Fox, part of OB/GYN Affiliates.  I also saw Dr. Sobczyk at the same clinic and he was also fantastic.  OB/GYN Affiliates is located in the office building connected to Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfiled and is close to Brookfield Square - it's on North Ave just off Barker Rd.

I am a huge fan of Dr. Moering at Moreland Medical in Waukesha.  I have been with her for a few years.  I know it is not Lake Country, but she works out well for me.  My DH and I live in Pewaukee.

I'll completely ditto the pp.  Dr. Moerhing is fantastic.  She was fantastic before, and has been great during my pregnancy.  They have a really convenient office too, much better than going to West Allis, which I wouldn't even consider given that I live in Pewaukee.
