So DH's original Ipod Nano died yesterday. I took it to the Apple store today and they can maybe fix it for $50, or we can get a new one. For an Ipod with 4 times the memory as the old for $149, or 8 times the memory for $179. They also said if we bring in the old for recycling, they would give us 10% off. I'm voting to just get a new one and be done with it, but DH wants to try and fix the old first.

Go with the new one. Tell hubby to suck it up. lol But really the new ones are better in a lot of way not just storage,but also the added features of a video camera and FM radio receiver. Paying apple to fix it a first generation nano isn't going to worth the time of effort. You could probably find a used one cheap than it is to fix his, but i still vote for a new one in green.

That's probably what we'll do. With DH's new raise we can afford it right away.

Definitely a new one since you can swing it! That way it comes with a new warranty in case of any more problems.
