I'm working on a website that will list local food resources and food-related events for West Michigan. Please help me by suggesting your favorites! Here is what I have so far:

For events, do you want to list the food and wine expo at Devos Place?

There was/is also some sort of event at John Ball Park that's cooking related, I would assume it has some local resources. Sorry if these aren't correct/super helpful, I'm a newbie when it comes to eating locally.

Are you looking for places that are organic and local or just local? Sobie Meats in Walker has local meats and is free of all the bad stuff. Nantucket Bakery on Union. They are locally owned as well. Taste of Grand Rapids takes place outside the zoo. oh, I have some time to spare I would be willing to help you. I may need an editor. I'm fairly new to the whole eat locally idea though and blogging too.

Taste of Grand Rapids...that's what I was thinking of outside the zoo. It was driving me crazy not being able to remember what it was called.

Taste of Grand Rapids...that's what I was thinking of outside the zoo. It was driving me crazy not being able to remember what it was called.

We have enjoyed their burgers, chicken, frozen mushrooms, frozen cherries, and ground turkey breast.

Doesn't have to be organic, just local. And that would be awesome if you could help! I have no problem editing. It's a big project but one that I really want to do. Even if I'm the only one who uses it - I find myself surfing way too much looking for stuff.

Alright let me know. I also came across Art's Bee's. It just over the board in ottawa county on Leonard ST. I also want to say the Blandford Nature center does some fall events involving food. I can't remember what though.
