i have only gone to the one in Hillcrest but last week I realized that there is one downtown close to petco park and one in little italy... i wonder if anyone has gone, these two i mentioned seem pretty small. do you go to any? just curious! thanks!

Re: Anyone go to Farmer's Markets?

  • I've been to the one in Hillcrest, I liked it, but I had this idea in my head that the produce would be cheaper, and it was MORE expensive.
  • There is also one on Thursdays next to the NBC building downtown which I buy flowers from and their produce looks good but it is small.

  • I go to the North Park and Hillcrest ones depending on what I am doing. North Park is Thursdays :)

I was going to try the Little Italy one but haven't had a chance.

  • I've only been to the one in La Mesa.  It's not very big compared to the one in San Luis Obispo that I used to go to every Thursday when I lived up there.
  • DH and I like going to the one in OB on Wednesday afternoons.  It's more street-fair-ish.
  • I've been to the one in Carlsbad and PB-those pretty much suck. I've heard OB is great and Hillscrest as well. I LOVE Farmers Markets!!

  • The Vista and Oceanside ones are good, at least I think they are. Lots of delicious local stuff (of course!) and nice people.
  • We go to the little italy one every weekend since its in our neighborhood and we love it! We actually just grilled fish we got there, so good.

Buon Appetito has a stand where they sell their amazing bread dip so we get that a lot! The whole thing has a pretty good selection of veggies and fruits and even a natural dog food stand where we get Dante's food!

    Definitely go! :)

  • I go every week either to Hillcrest or OB on Wed. afternoon.  They are both great, and comparable in size/quality.  The OB one has llama rides for kids, I don't have kids but I just think it's fun to see llamas.
