How often to water potatoes?
I know that I am supposed to water the potatoes each time I add new planting mix to my planting bag. However, I haven't seen anywhere how often to water otherwise. I think I saw somewhere that potatoes can generally do OK with just rainfall--but we can't count on that here in Southern CA.
Any advice?

Re: How often to water potatoes?
I try not to let the soil dry out.
Last year, I let it get dry, and I had nothing to show for it. So this time I am taking a more aggressive approach to watering. Which grow bags are you using? I have two different kinds.
I found this :

Water regularly: The porous fabric allows the Potato Bag to breathe, which prevents overheating and overwatering. However, it's important to monitor the moisture level in the bag because it can dry out quickly. The soil should feel moist, not soggy. In the hottest part of the summer, it might be necessary to water every day.

The Bosemere bags, are they green? I have 2 of those, they were a birthday gift, and then I have these black fabric bags. You can see my russet and yukon gold poking out the top.
