Which party theme do you like best:
80's
Hollywood/Movie Stars
Mexican/Margarita
Toga
Western
Pirate
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Casey will be turning 20, so I avoided the casino theme, and we don't have a pool so I scratched the Hawaiian luau theme.
Re: Poll: Party Theme
TOGA!!!!
Only because I've been dying to go to one and it'd be really cool, I think. People can get really creative or not and just use a sheet. lol
I think Toga is way easy if you want peeps to costume it up! Hello old sheets!
80's can be crazy funny, but something about the fact that he was birthed post 80's makes it feel a lil wacky to me
Disco 70's is fun lol
I'm a movie buff-so hollywood is coolio
Western is cahute, but could seem a little, well 'cutie' in a lesser sense
the suggestions about pirate were arrrgghhh-reat!
oh and I PPH margaritas so
did that help any?
Haaa and here I just suggested old sheets!
Or what about:
Hoe down
Masquerade/Mardi Gras
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Woohoo! I was going to email your more FH listings (even though they were pool-less), I wish we lived closer!!!
I'm excited to have our first big party in our first house (I'm not counting dinner parties, lol), but a pool would be sweet.
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
I thought about Mardi Gras but then thought it was silly because it's not until February.....lol
I helped host a surprise Hollywood/movie themed party a couple years ago.
We set up a red carpet with velvet ropes in their garage, so when they go home and opened the garage door all the Guests were in there with cameras all papparazzi style. She had to walk down the red carpet and at the end I had a little thing of wet "cement" (plaster type stuff) so she could put her hand prints in them ala the walk of fame. It was fun.
This is awesome!!! OMG. I want to do that for someone now! You seem like a VERY good party planner!!!
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Party City had a really fun game we played (which I am generally anti game), But you could make it as well. Each person got a stars name pinned to their back when they arrived at the party, then they got to ask people questions to figure out who they were. It was a good ice breaker.
I went and bought a bunch of cheap disposable camera for the papparazzi bit, then had the guests leave them there for her to develop to have pics of the night.
Also, I asked the guests to dress up as actors/actresses...so that was interesting.
I decorated with stars and movie posters.
I am sooooo tempted to steal your ideas and throw my toga theme out. I really love everything you've mentioned.
Are you an event planner?
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
As a side note--our wedding was movie-themed and we had an Entertainment Tonight type reporter with our videographers 'interviewing' peeps as they arrived and it was too cute
I think you could have a lot of fun with it!
I wish I knew you then so I could have been at your wedding. haha It sounds SO cool!!!
I went to a Hoe Down party in college, and it was really fun. Well, basically we all just dressed in plaid button up shirts and bandannas, played Hoe Down-ish music and drank a lot, haha. It was a good time.
Thanks chica! My one regret was not inviting some of my fellow knot ladies. Three in particular I would have loved to have had there, but I was too chicken to invite them--I thought they would think I was a psycho since I didn't know them 'that' well-ya know?! Ah well. It was such fun to plan and to be at, of course, lol!
