Lilies

How tall are yours? Mine are out of control! Should I have cut them down earlier?

What kind of lilies do you have & why do you want to guillotine them?Indifferent

  • I believe they are asaitic lilies but are like 4 feet tall and are falling over. Just wondering if I am neglecting them when I shouldn't be.

Mine aren't that tall, but MILs are. She says it's because they don't get as much sunlight as they want. She has to tie them to the fence so they don't fall over.

Yeah, sometimes tall or top-heavy flowers need support. My hydrangea blooms are so heavy and prolific this year, they're almost down in the mud.

if you cut them, they won't have the foliage to replenish the bulb to bloom next year.

my LA hybrid is also about 4 feet tall, and in a spot that gets no shade.
