So I know we generally steer clear of politics on here and I am good with that. I just have to vent a little. I, being the avid voter that I am tend to watch both the DNC and GOP conventions. I a registered independant but tend towards the DNC or Green side... although I have and will vote for candidates of both sides, that aside, I felt that the speeches last night were very disrepectful to both the DNC and the American people... regardless of what your political beliefs are you should at the very least be respectful of the other side and I felt last night was just yelling and screaming about how stupid we all are unless we vote GOP and making rude remarks about the lifes work of the DNC candidates... flame me if you wish and this is the tip of the iceberg in terms of how I feel about last nights speeches but I had to vent... grrr... okay... done now. Thank you.
Re: A wee rant..
I think you made a good point - it is fine for each party to play up their strengths and acknowledge the opponents' weaknesses, but it is another thing all together to do it in a degrading way, which has happened repeatedly in the political battle over the years.
The sandbox analogy keeps coming to mind, but I guess politicians don't have to play by those rules :P
hehe - welcome to politics!
I heart the Daily Show...
it's funny, my friend Billie swears when Shane gets going he's just like Jon Stewart... ahh... Jon Stewart how I love you!!! :-)
