Visiting Fort Lauderdale
Hi! MH and I are headed down to Fort Lauderdale for a long weekend. First trip without DS! I was wondering if anyone could recommend any restaurants? We are staying at the Ritz Carlton in Fort Lauderdale and from what I understand it isn't too far of a cab ride to the downtown area. Thanks so much for your help!

One of my favorites, right down the street at the W is Steak 954. I've been for dinner (fantastic) and supposedly they have a great brunch too. If you want to check out the downtown area (about 5 minutes by cab), there are a lot of chain restaurants, everything from Cheesecake Factory to Morton's. There's a good restaurant called Himmarshee Bar & Grill which I've heard is very good. Enjoy the trip!
I just wanted to suggest renting a car. You can get affordably priced cars and then you can go anywhere you want
. Cabs and such will definitely add up!
