I am so excited for this week's BB.  There are so many offerings, I can't wait to get it all!

  • I had that same problem but I think I will bring some to my mom and sister in law.  Luckily most can freeze easily for use later.  We got almost all of the add-ons :)

  • =( I hate that our site is only "b" weeks.

  • Lol Brenda, I wanted to write a post like this after I ordered!  We added the tortilla pack and 20 lbs. of tomatoes to our basket.  We're splitting the tortillas with my parents, b/c 7 dozen is a bit excessive for just the two of us.

Jenn B., our location is every other week too.  We go to a Mesa location on the weeks it's not in FH.

What are you going to do with all those tomatos, make sauce?

  • I was so excited!  Although the only add on we did was the mexican pack.

We still have frozen tortillas left and I did the bread pack last week to stock up.

I was thinking about the tomatoes, but I want to do that when I have my canning stuff ready.

  • DH and I were going to order most the add-ons, but wont have room in our freezer.  Once we pick up our chest freezer, we are going to stock up on the tortilla and bread packs and fill it!

What week is your off week in FH?  I am in FH every other Saturday for work.  If it works out right, we can work something out if you ever don't want to go to Mesa.

Yes, I plan to make sauce with my sister-in-laws canner.  I also make some pasta with the sauce and freeze it in small portions for work.  I have a lot of Romas tomatos from my garden that I can mix with them to make salsa.

  • How much sauce do you make at a time, or i guess how much sauce would 20 lbs make?

  • Usually I do not do large batches so this should be an adventure.  I'll let you know how it turns out.

When you guys move to Gilbert, we should split them.  DH & I did it once, but we wound up wasting some, so I've been hesitant to do it again.  :(

Brenda that is so sweet of you to offer!  FH is a "B" week (I think - its not this week, which is an "A" week, right?).  I don't mind the drive to Mesa though, its like a little adventure for us, lol, and a nice way to start off the Saturday.  Where do you work in FH?  We should grab coffee sometime!

  • I figured you were probably in that area as housing is a little more affordable there than in other areas Smile.  I agree we should meet up on one of my days up there.  I don't start until 4:30 so I can pretty much meet up anytime.
