Biggest spider ever

I saw the biggest spider I've ever seen, it was the size of a quarter. It was on the side of my house when I was bringing the dogs in. Now I'm to freaked out to sleep, and DH is sleeping on the couch cause he came home sick today. At least when I'm having a really bad arachnophbia right before bed, I always figure the spider will eat him instead (I'm such a great wife)

I remember we had these plug ins at our old house that kept spiders out. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Know where to buy them?

Re: Biggest spider ever

  • That sounds like a hobo spider! Yuck!

They like dark, quiet places like woodpiles and garages. You can keep them at bay by making sure doors and windows are sealed, and vacuuming under doors and around windows once a month. Also, citronella oil on and around windows should help. And orange peels.

  • Are Hobo's poisonous ? I'll google too, but just wondering? I had a friend in HS who when he was a baby a poisonous spider got in his footie jammies before he was even a year old and bit him, he had to have his lower part of his leg amputated cause of it, it did to much damage. Hence, why I have severe arachnaphobia
