The "grab-able" things I was able to locate this morning in my rush were string cheese and an oatmeal packet. So...that.

I need more (well, any) grab-able things on hand.  Actually what I really need is to be more organized, but I've pretty much given up on that.  It's just not going to happen.

It helps me so much to pack my lunch the night before.  It doesn't take that long at all and I am much more awake.  If there are leftovers from dinner that are going to be packed in lunches, I'll pack them into serving size tupperware so they are ready to grab and go rather than having to separate out portions from one big tupperware.

Also, when I buy fruits and veggies for lunch, I usually try to separate those into serving size baggies before putting them away.  It seems like such an onerous task when I start, but it's over before I know it.

I probably come across as an overly organized freak of nature with my morning workouts and lunches packed the night before, but I promise I'm not!

Oh yes, I totally agree and I try to do a lot of those same things. I don't always succeed, however. I tend to have a good week, where I pack things ahead of time and am on top of everything, followed by a bad week where I forget to do it or am busy the night before and don't get to it...or, like this week, where we literally have NO food in the house and every meal is a scavenger hunt.

  • We went out to lunch for a CW birthday.  I had a chicken panini twist w/chicken, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes and onions and it was tasty.
