So I've been really tired lately....

I've also started bruising very easily, if I so much as a scratch myself I will bruise. I also recently broke out with something called petecchiae (sp?), which is basically pin point bruises all over your body.

I saw my doctor yesterday, and after running some tests my iron level is shockingly low, almost down to zero. My doctor is putting me on an iron supplement for at least 90 days.

This will explain my extreme exhaustion, and penchant for 3-4 hours naps on the weekends, and wanting to go to bed at 8pm on weeknights.

I was so exhausted during my move I mostly sat around while BF did all the work. I just physically could not get up and moving. Thankfully BF is a saint and didn't get mad at me.

See, you've got a real man!  He should have done that regardless of how you felt.  I wouldn't have trusted my DH to move a thing, though.

  • I was just put on iron supplements too!  I found out last week that I passed my blood glucose test but failed my iron test.  I was feeling more tired but just thought that was from being pregnant. Now that I've been taking them for a week I am feeling a little more peppy.  The only thing is I get a metallic taste in my mouth after I take the pill.

Ha! I understand that completely. Thankfully my current BF is completely dependable, and probably a lot more thorough than I am. :)

  • I'm  not sure if you remember my anemia last fall. It took about 3 months to resolve, but I only had to take iron supplements. Good luck!

  • Glad you have an answer. I hope the iron pills help!
  • Sweet baby jebus. I've nearly choked on my calzone so far. I PPH you P&R. I really do.

My mom has terrible anemia and there's a slew of options. Besides the pills, you can get some awwwwwwwwful drops that go under your tongue - I'm blanking on the product but if I find it I'll link you to it.

I hope the pills help you out! And .... yeah.... back to choking on my food. Crying
