Wii couples party--how does my menu sound?

We are going to have 3 couples over for food and playing the Wii. We aren't drinkers and there won't be any kids there. Here is what I am thinking:

chicken and veggie kebobs on the grill

sausage and cheese dip with chips

stuffed mushrooms

cheese and fruit tray

bacon wrapped shrimp or shrimp cocktail (which do you think?)

brownie bites

cranberry and brie tarts

lemonade, tea, soft drinks

  • That sounds delicious! I would do the bacon wrapped shrimp, but I am a huge bacon lover.

  • It sounds great.  Bacon wrapped shrimp would go over better in my crowd.

  • you could do bacon wrapped lil smokies and shrimp cocktail?  It all sounds great though!
  • It all sounds very tasty, but heavy. And not "nibbly" enough. Maybe we munch too much, but I like pretzles, M&Ms or even puppy chow while Wii-ing.

  • Sounds awesome, such a great idea.  I would go with the bacon wrapped shrimp.  Also, maybe some other snacks for when you are playing that people can snack on while they watch?

  • Thanks for the tips. I think I will add some chips and salsa, pretzels and cheese cubes too. For the brie and cranberry tarts, I just buy those frozen tart shells, thaw them out, put a small piece of brie in them, bake for about 8-10 minutes until the cheese melts and then put a dollop of whole berry cranberry sauce on top. Sounds wierd, but I've gotten good reviews of them.
