Rec outside wedding ceremony and reception venue.

My sister fell in love with this place. But the date she wants is taken. Are there any other places that compare to this?  She wants an outside ceremony adn then reception inside at a nice place.

Check out The Byron Colby Barn in Grayslake at Prairie Crossing.  That's where I got married.  Ceremony and cocktails were outside in a courtyard or you could use a gazebo in a park nearby, then reception was in the renovated barn, complete with bar in the silo.  Very unique.  http://www.prairiecrossing.com/pc/site/barn_index.php

Another option is Thunderhawk Golf Club.  You can have the ceremony on the patio and the reception inside.  The problem we had there was that it won't hold a ton of people, but the setting is really nice.

If she' willing to go into the south burbs, we had ours at the Bird Haven Greenhouse in Joliet and loved it. It's really affordable too.

we had ours here http://standrewsgc.reachlocal.net/weddings in West Chicago, we didn't do the outdoor ceremony though.  They started those after our wedding.  I can't say enough good things about the venue.

We had an outdoor ceremony & indoor reception at Independence Grove in Libertyville.

We got married at the Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca. We had our ceremony outdoors and then our reception there as well. We had an awesome experience and it was so pretty!

We had ours at the Links at Carillon in Plainfield. They have a gorgeous garden for the ceremony and a pavillion for the reception.
