Random ramblings....
... since its been slow on here and I've just felt like I haven't done much posting on here... so I'll just put some things down that are going on in my life and see if that inspires any further conversations.
Well, I'm still waiting on news from my work, as to whether I'll have a job at the end of the summer (otherwise I'll have a nice severence package to get by with). Theres a number of things waiting on this decision; our house (whether we need to move to accomodate my new job, sell it to run off and travel for a few months, continue to renovate because nothing is changing) and that we want to TTC. I have set a goal to update my resume by the end of June, so that I'm ready and able to apply for any internal job openings that wow me (or even start applying exeternally if I have a definite end date with current employer).
As for the TTC thing - had a moment last night of allowing myself to get upset about this. DH and I decided in February of this year that we wanted to give this parent thing a shot. This represented a big change for us as we had never intended to have children. Now, I'm an impatient person and wanted to start TTC right away. But the other side of things is that I did not want to find myself unemployed & PG if I could avoid it. So, we're holding off TTC until work is sorted out. I just had this moment of, what if I never get the chance to TTC or have a baby. Mind you, we've already discussed that we have no problem adopting and would go down that route some day if necessary (and would be open to an older child, i.e. not just babies).
Now... on to the fun stuff.... I'm turning 30 in a few weeks and DH is planning a trip to NYC for my birthday. I'm very excited about this, I've never been before and I don't have to do any of the planning. We're flying Porter which should be cool and DH has picked and booked a fabulous hotel. I just have to figure out what I want to do while I'm there....

I hope the job thing works out. Sounds like you've got alot of things to consider.
The birthday trip sounds super fun! My 30th was my absolute best birthday so far...I hope you have a blast!
