speaking of DHs "helping"

so I posted earlier about how I really wanted a relaxed easy evening with a mojito.  DH got sent to the store for 2 ingredients for chicken we were short on and was tasked to get mint too and I ran a quick errand on my way home as well.

His list had 3 - yes 3 - items.  Did he come home with 3?  Yes, but not the right 3.  He came home with the two ingredients for the chicken and a box of icecream sandwiches.  I send him back to the store to get mint and in the meantime, start on dinner.  One of the ingredients he got - sour cream- was mixed with onions and chives.  Normally, I wouldn't care but it would not have been a good addition to this particular recipe.  I call DH's phone but it rings in the living room.  Great.

I get in the car and start driving over to the store because I need sour cream to finish dinner.  I pass DH on the way over (we live about 4 blocks from the store).  He calls me and asks me what I was doing and I told him.  "oops!  I love you" was the direct quote.

I get back from the store, get dinner in the oven, and go to make my mojito.  DH had decided to 'clean' the kitchen up and threw out my limes!  And then threw out some questionable food from the fridge ontop of it that leaked so I wasn't going to fish them out.  Guess who had to go back to the store?  'Oops!  I love you' again.

I did finally get my mojito and dinner was delicious and the movie was very nice.  I'm glad I finally got to "relax" about 9:00!  Sheesh, I'm never letting DH go to the store without a picture list again!  Stick out tongue
