True or false: iphone coming to Verizon
I'm hearing this and wondering if anyone really KNOWS it to be true?
If so I'm delaying getting a new phone until it's available.
Any idea when this is going to happen? (if it is.)

Damn.
I knew it sounded too good to be true.
If AT&T would only provide some actual coverage in my area I'd switch in a minute but I do actually need my phone to function reliably as a phone first and foremost.

However, you can get an Iphone and use it on a different network. All you have to do is jail break it. That will void any type of warranty however. Which btw unless u have a hardware issues isn't any good. I have the apple 2yr extended warranty on mine and I just dropped it in the toilet. Guess what, $150 Iphone only 1yr old is toast and NOT covered under the warranty.
However, this has actually worked to my advantage since dh can upgrade his. So, guess who's getting the 4 (not dh).

Jail breaking iphones doesn't work on Verizon. Something to do with the cards?
I'm such a Mac-gal that I've already looked into this option.

Trust me, I'd love to get away from AT&T (although service coverage is good here) but I love my Iphone (which is barely working now due to dropping it in the toilet).

I think jailbreaking also makes the iPhone far more vulnerable to viruses.
In any event, I can guarantee that Verizon will be getting the iPhone soon because... I finally gave up hoping and ordered a Droid Incredible. LOL!
But seriously, after reading up on this, I do think it's going to be a while before it comes to Verizon. There are too many hurdles at this point, including the AT&T contract.
it's coming eventually... it's just a matter of when.
