Movie Review
So Dh and I went to go see The Karate Kid last night. It was really good, but I still standby they should have written a different story and not done it as a remake.
As the remake, it does follow the original story quite well. There are 2-3 aspects of the movie that are different to give the remake it's own flare which I liked. I think the acting and choreography was great. The movie is kind of long though (2 1/2 hours) and drags a little in the middle since the story is about identical -- they should have used more montage lol. But other than that it was great. We went to see it because we love going to midnight features together, but I'd recommend it as a rental. It's a great remake, but it's just that....a remake.
