Japanese beetle control

The japanese bettles have attacked my rose bush, with a vengence.  Other than those hanging bags, can anyone suggest something to use to deter them?  I don't have any pesticides and don't want to use any.

Thanks!
Heather

  • semi-lurker butting in:

I hand pick them off and drop them in a ball jar filled with water and a little soap.  Bag traps just attract them, and I won't use Sevin.

  • The best way to get rid of them is talk your neighbor into hanging bag traps.  Works like a charm.
