"Green Phoenix" Help!
Hey ladies! I've announced on my eco-blog what's been going on in my life and since I'm relocating to Phoenix I wanted to do a "Green Phoenix" post as a way to get back into the blogging world.
Now I know of BB but does anyone have a suggestion of what else I can put in that post? Favorite Farmer's Markets, Swap Meats, Natural Stores, etc. I won't have a chance to visit these places before making the post so I was hoping you ladies could tell me where the good places are.
Re: "Green Phoenix" Help!
Great idea Jaye!
So far we've tried the downtown phoenix farmers market and the ahwatukee farmers market. Both were really great places for fresh produce, farm fresh eggs, grass fed beef, organic breads, cheese curds!...and tons of other items.
We shop at Sprouts for other home necessities and most of our grains.
You could discuss the light rail that started running about 18 months ago. It's a great way to utilize mass transit (if you are near the routes) and have affordable transportation.
I'll keep thinking of things.
Ohhh maybe you could add things like family entertainment. I'm sure there is a way to make it "green" but there are lots of free outdoorsy things to do down here.
Love the list so far.
Thank you for the Linklove
There is a whole new world of things out here since I've started paying attention. Just going to the farmers markets is a nice, fun way to spend the morning on the weekends. I love it.
I know a lot of people here use solar energy because of how much sun we get. (I think "a lot of people" is used relatively.) Like, ASU has one of the largest collections of solar panels on top of one of their parking garages or something.
