XP: Latest crochet project (PIP)

I actually finished this probably a month ago but didn't get around to photographing it until yesterday. It's the 8-pocket tote from the LionBrand website. Definitely has some imperfections, but that's just proof that it's homemade, right? :)

Now to learn how to add a lining....

  • That is awesome!  Does it get kind of stretchy when you put stuff in it, or does it pretty much hold it's shape?  Just curious.  I am imagining it feeling like a blanket.

To be honest, I haven't actually used it yet :)  It's sort of floppy, as you might imagine.  Not stretchy per se, just not stiff.  Once I add a lining I think it will maintain it's shape more.

I think it depends on the yarn and if you put a lining in it or not - I made a tote using cotton yarn and it stretched A LOT - But I made another and lined it and it looked spectacular.

::sigh:: I really need to get back into my crocheting and knitting :(

If I take a break for a while it always feels so good to get back into it when I start a new project.

I found a couple of tutorials online about how to sew a lining into the bag, but if you have others to point me to I'd happily take the advice!
