One of my best friends is getting married soon and I need help with a gift. Her fiancee is French and their future plans as far as living arrangements are no where near set in stone. That being said, they have not created a registry because they may end up living in Europe. At any rate, I know that he really likes coffee; just not typical American coffee. So, I was hoping to get them a nice coffee maker that would whip up something he could enjoy.
I am clueless about coffee in general. That extends to coffee makers as well. Obviously the type of coffee used determines quality, but what about the coffee maker? And what's the difference between US coffee makers and Euro? Could anybody point me to a great coffee maker that could satisfy their needs? Also, some reco's for great coffee that I could give them in addition. I would like to keep the price to below $400. TIA
