My 6 year old next door neighbor planted pumpkin seeds in our front yard last year (before we owned the house). Now the seeds have grown and I understand these plants can get vines up to 30 feet long. Our front garden is tiny and she planted them under a rose bush.
What should I do? I don't want to remove them and upset the little girl. I also don't want 30 feet of pumpkin vine in my tiny garden - we really only hae about 6 sq ft of garden out front.

Re: Pumpkin Plants?
I would be shocked if they grow. I have tried to grow pumpkins several times and have not generated 1 pumpkin.
They do not transplant well, but you could offer to let her take "her" plants back and plant them somewhere in "her" own yard where she can water them and watch them grow.
