iPhone pre order question
This is kinda a dumb question and don't know that there is an answer, but do you think that an AT&T store in a mall would be busier or slower than one in a strip mall?
I need to go into a store to pre order, as I am exchanging a 3gs that I bought less than 3 weeks ago, and will be bringing my two little ones with me, so really would like to avoid any unnecessary chaos as they cause enough on their own. If DH can get home early enough, I will just go to the strip mall location.

I don't know if it's just the timing, but I've been trying to pre-order the phone from both Apple and AT&T's website for 2 hours with no luck.
I recommend the AT&T Premiere website if your company has a FAN discount with AT&T. It went very smooth for me super early this morning.
I'd keep trying AT&T too. I finally was able to order my mom an upgrade through the regular AT&T site after many failed attempts. You just have to keep trying over and over.
Apple has been a lost cause since 3am CT this morning! I was up and trying then...and again at 5:30am CT...and finally gave up and went to AT&T's Premiere site through my company.
I think you're going to have to do two separate transactions. Because when you reserve a phone, you don't actually pay for it. When you order it online you do, but in the store, they just make a reservation for one and you pay when you pick up. So if you have to return the phone in a certain amount of time, you might need to do that before you get the new phone.
