Staying/Looking Young Remedies?
So I'm turning 30 next week and am not looking forward to it. I'm on this kick of finding remedies of staying/looking young. I started on the more serious work out, trying to eat better and I know a big thing is not smoking, but I'm just not there yet, I know, I suck! Any suggestions of some remedies?

Re: Staying/Looking Young Remedies?
Drink lots of water. I've also heard eating olive oil helps keep your hair & skin looking good, so you could try cooking with less butter & more olive oil (if you don't already). My mom got this really amazing cream from Israel that she uses at night only, & I'm telling you - it has really worked to plump up her lines. You probably don't need something that drastic since you're so young, BUT on to my point - the lady at the cosmetics counter said you never ever put cream on during the day, only at night. You only use face lotion during the day. So it's important to have a good skin care regimen that you use in the AM & PM. You could also see a dermatologist and tell the doctor your concerns & she what the dr. recommends. He/she can give you pointers based on your skin type. And, of course, sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen.
If you aren't ready to stop smoking, then you just aren't ready! That does not mean you suck. I don't know if this is your situation, but my neighbor wants to quit smoking (again) and she said that she quit for like 4 years, but for her she had to quit smoking & drinking because for her they went hand in hand. I know you work for a brewery so I don't know if that would even work for you, lol. But... you know, everyone has to find their own time & their own way!I think you look great Lisa. But I totally understand! I'm one of those people that is always researching the "fountain of youth"...I can't help it even though I know my smile lines are a sign of lots of happiness and laughter
Here are the things that I run across all the time in reading and asking people with pretty skin what they do.
-Get your sleep. This is your body's time to repair and rejuvenate.
-Drink lots of water. Avoid soda & caffeine.
-Always remove your makeup and wash your face before bed.
-Use a night face and eye cream. Don't forget your neck, chest and hands. (I really like this line)
-Put on body lotion after every bath/shower. (here's the newest one I've tried and super love)
-Wear a day moisturizer with a high SPF. This will help prevent future damage. Again, don't forget your neck, chest and top of your hands. (I'm still hunting around for one that I really like. I find that some make me kind of oily throughout the day. But I also think, would I rather have a little oil or a lot of sun damage?)
-Exfoliate. As you get older your skin loses it's ability to turn over new skin cells as often. Exfoliating helps with that process along. You can even do this with just a washcloth. (I use this line because it's gentle on my sensitive skin - but I think it's kind of hard to find. I have this little gadget on my wish list - I've heard lots of raves about it.)
And...welcome to the fun and fabulous 30s Club!
