Does anyone have experience on getting one?
DH and I am are looking into buying a local liquor store (Sounds trashy but its brand new and they don't sell liquor in grocery stores out here). I have a business degree and always wanted to own a business with it. I just am unsure how hard it is right now to get a business loan and if it is a risk I am willing to take.
Re: Business loans?

In order to be in the best position financially in your personal life, you need to first form an LLP/C- a limited liability partnership/ company. I wouldn't start a business without one because otherwise you can personally be held responsible for the debts of the business if it fails. You're going to have to see a lawyer for that, and then take out the loan in the name of the LLP/C.
Not to be fatalist, but in an economy like this one, if you don't own a house or another major piece of collateral, it is going to be VERY hard to get a business loan. Do you belong to a credit union or other small business minded organization? I'd try there first, they will usually have lower credit thresholds and more willingness to lend to members because they're stakeholders in the business' success more so than just the interest earned on the payment.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Thanks for the advice of an LLP/C. I will look into that. I would def. not take a business loan out in my name only. Business school did teach me that!
We do belong to a credit union and that would be where we would get the loan.
