I saw you needed some help with a diaper cake. I have a PERFECT idea for you. Go to Michaels or AC Moore and get three sizes of round paperboard boxes (I forget the technical term for them but they're the really cheap cardboard colored boxes). They do sometimes sell patterned ones around but they're usually pretty pricey - you might be able to find some for a decent deal at Michael's though. If you're so inclined, you can paper mache them or just get a bottle of three different baby colors of paint (like .50 each there) and a few foam brushes and cover them. Get a few yards of a pretty ribbon. The round boxes will give you the perfect starter for the cake layers. It's so much easier to do. You can put some cute stuff on the cake but you can also put little gifts inside the containers. The layers can just be stacked once you get there and easily taken apart to find the goodies inside and put back together.
Re: steeser03
thanks! another nestie (k-hart) has made them in the past and she said the same thing about using boxes and putting gifts in them.
i can picture what i want i just have no craftiness to actually execute it.
i might attempt to do it myself, or i might cheat and buy her one on etsy. i found some super cute ones. like this one: http://tinyurl.com/36j3bnj
it has 66 diapers, a bottle, and two blankets. i also am completely naive when it comes to babies and baby stuff so im not sure if $75 for that stuff is good and worth me not having the stress of attempting it myself, or if i should just suck it up and do it.
