XP: Rhododendron question

I posted this on gardening&landscaping but I figured I might as well ask here too.  I have a pretty black thumb so I am scared to just go out and start screwing around with my plants.

I've got some rhododendrons in my front yard that are growing a little taller than I'd like.  I went for a run this morning and noticed a lot of rhododendron clippings in people's yard waste buckets (it is trash day).  Is now the best time to do some pruning?  Does anyone have any advice for the best way to do it?

Re: XP: Rhododendron question

  • I'm not really sure when the best time to prune is. You could try googling, or you could even call up a local nursery/garden center and they should be able to give you some details on when and how.
