We moved to a new place earlier this year that has a garden plot; yay! But, it's very shaded as we have numerous large pine trees in the yard. What veggies would do well without a ton of sunlight? Thanks!

Re: Shade loving veggies?
Half of my garden only gets a few hours of sun a day and there are a few things we have found success growing - lettuce and mint being the most bountiful. Our local garden center had a list of shade-growing veggies for our area, but knowing what we eat we opted for mint and other herbs instead. I believe varieties of chard will grow along with borage and a few others. In my area, lettuce doesn't grow well in the warmer months though.
I have found the best knowledge has come from an independent garden center in my area - they know the soil and climate better than anyone in my area.
