Renovating a home ...
DH and I are set to close on our first home and wanted to do some relatively minor updates before we actually move in.
1. Remove the popcorn from the ceiling from the entire house.
2. Install wood floors
3. Paint all of the walls.
Any suggestions of people/companies you've used before?
I honestly don't even know where to start.

Congrats on the home! We are about to close on our first home as well. We have contractors coming tomorrow. If there turns out to be a good one, I will pass the info along.
Congrats! We just bought our home 2 months ago and have just finished our popcorn removal and re texture. We removed the popcorn ourselves in order to save money, and then hired a contractor to retexture (smooth finish) I will warn you, we got a lot of quotes and the entire process is very expensive. About $2.50-3.00 a square foot and thats a good deal. We saved a alot removing it ourselves but it was alot of work and mess. I can send you pictures if you are curious or answer any questions
